“The trend of building material shopping in the modern retail shop is still promising”, said Idrus H Widjadjakusuma. “So, this opportunity must be kept in the future”, added Idrus in the Catur Sentosa’s public expose on Wednesday May 20, 2009. Catur Sentosa, the owner of modern retail building material Mitra10, recorded a positive growth in the last two years. In 2008, the company booked a revenue of Rp 2.71 trillion, or increased by 27.07% from Rp 2.13 trillion in 2007. “Untill the end of this year, we expected the revenue will increase to Rp 2.91 trillion”, said Idrus. Meanwhile, the company recorded Rp 56.23 billion of net income in 2008, grew from Rp 33.50 billion in 2007. From 2008 net income, about Rp 11.6 billion will be distributed as cash dividend. Idrus said that this year is a challenging year for the company due to the weaker purchasing power as a result of global economic crisis. “The company will not open more Mitra 10 outlet in this year”, said Idrus. So far, the company has 25 outlets of Mitra 10 (15 Mitra 10 Superstore and 10 Mitra 10 Express). Source : Kompas Cyber Media, May 21, 2009 |
